The year 2003 marks the birth of Free Launch with a line-up that remains unchanged up to this day. The band is a meeting place where musicians of various musical backgrounds (rock, metal and electro) unite for a shared passion of music. This fusion of diverse influences shapes the sound of Free Launch. In 2004, the first demo is released and gave the band the opportunity to play important gigs in Belgian festivals such as the “Nandrin”, the “Fiesta du Rock”, etc. The second demo (2005), defines even more clearly the style and the direction that the band is taking. The response is extremely positive and attracts more than one organizer.

In 2008, with its gathered maturity and writing skills, Free Launch became aware that it was time to push a little further by making their first album. “Human Contradiction” will be officially released early 2009. The general theme revolves around man. Man in relation to himself, his life, his ego, his relationships ... and his death. The scenic appearance has been worked out, for indoor or night concerts , with the use of body painting and black lights. The band is also working with Vj Ackeron who, apart from being the album designer, brings also his visual touch during the concerts.
